The pins and bolts that hold a main landing gear, an engine and its pylon together, shown where they go. We manufacture to your drawings and specifications.
A generic twin-engine, single-aisle transport aircraft, drawn as an outline, with one main landing gear and one engine on its pylon in full detail. The gear comes apart the way a shop does it: the axle nuts spin off and the wheels slide off the axle, the tie bolt nuts come off and the wheel halves part, the brakes unbolt from the axle flange, the torque links, braces and retraction actuator are unpinned, and the trunnion pins come out so the strut is free. Then the cowl opens, the mount bolts come out and the engine lowers from the pylon, the pylon is unpinned from the wing, and the engine's case flanges part. The pins and bolting are in colour. A ring of bolts and nuts clamps the two halves of each main wheel together: sixteen per wheel drawn (typical), on a wheel for the H44.5 × 16.5-21 tyre size.
One large nut on each threaded axle end holds the wheel and its bearings on.
Bolt each multiple-disc brake housing to its flange on the axle so the brake cannot turn: ten per brake drawn (typical).
Three pins join the two torque links to the strut cylinder, to each other at the apex, and to the piston, keeping the wheels aligned.
Pins at the strut, centre hinge and airframe fitting of the folding side brace, and at each end of the drag brace.
One bolt at each end of the retraction actuator, into a lug on the strut and a fitting in the wing.
The two pins the whole gear hangs and swings on, each kept in its fitting by a retaining bolt and nut.
Four vertical bolts hold the forward mount beam up to the pylon and two bolts pick up the fan frame lugs (typical).
Four vertical bolts into the pylon and a bolt at each end of the two short links to the turbine rear frame (typical). Typically heat-resisting alloy.
A pin at each end of the two thrust links that carry engine thrust from the fan frame hub to the aft mount.
Two large pins at the front spar fittings and one at the aft fitting hang the pylon under the wing (typical arrangement).
Full rings of small bolts join inlet, fan case, fan frame, compressor case and combustion case flange to flange.
The same flange joints in the hot section, typically in A-286 or nickel alloy: combustion case, turbine case, turbine rear frame, exhaust nozzle.

Only the main tyre size (H44.5 × 16.5-21: 44.5 in. diameter, 16.5 in. wide, 21 in. rim) is a published figure; every shape is illustrative typical proportions, and every fastener count, size and material is typical. This page describes the joints; it is not a statement of aerospace approvals or of parts supplied for flight. Examples of such work for us would be tooling, ground support and other non-flight hardware. Your drawings and specifications govern. We manufacture to your drawings and specifications.
Joint arrangement follows the FAA Aviation Maintenance Technician Handbooks (Airframe, FAA-H-8083-31B, landing gear chapter; Powerplant, FAA-H-8083-32B) and FAA AC 43.13-1B chapter 7 on aircraft hardware; the main wheel is drawn to the published H44.5 × 16.5-21 tyre size.
