Horizontal joint studs and nuts, vertical flange bolts, combustor and fuel nozzle bolting, coupling bolts and the bolts that hold the machine down, made in Houston to your drawings and specifications.
A 45 MW class heavy-duty industrial gas turbine, single shaft with horizontally split casings, a 17-stage compressor, ten combustors and a three-stage turbine, opened up the way a major inspection goes: the load coupling comes out, the exhaust duct and diffuser pull away, the fuel gas manifold, fuel nozzles, end covers and combustion casings come off, then the joint nuts spin off and the upper casing halves lift straight up, leaving the studs in the lower halves. The bearing caps follow and the rotor lifts out. The bolting we make is in colour. Press Solid view for a steel model, or Cutaway to see the rotor, the blade rows, the combustor liners and the bearings inside the casings.
Thirty-six studs a side clamp the upper casing halves to the lower ones, from the inlet casing to the exhaust frame, each with a heavy nut on the upper flange. Alloy steel at the cold end; typically A193 B16, A453 Grade 660 or a nickel alloy at the hot end. The count and sizes are typical for a machine of this size.
Join each casing to the next round the circular flanges. The bolts in the upper halves come out before those halves are lifted.
Bolts the exhaust frame to the turbine shell, the diffuser to the exhaust frame and the exhaust duct to the diffuser, all in the exhaust gas heat.
Twelve studs hold each of the ten combustion casings to the wrapper and twelve more hold its end cover: the bolting that is opened at every combustion inspection.
Six screws hold each fuel nozzle in its end cover.
Eight 3/4 in. studs on a 6-5/8 in. bolt circle at each flange (ASME B16.5 Class 300, NPS 3), each with two heavy hex nuts, on the gas supply and the two joints of the ring manifold.
Clamp the bearing caps over the journal bearings in the inlet casing and the exhaust frame. They come off before the rotor can be lifted.
Close-fitting bolts through the load coupling flanges, carrying the turbine's torque to the driven machine.
Bolt the forward flexible support plate and the two aft support legs to the casings and the base, and hold the gib blocks either side of the turbine shell's key.
Sixteen bolts hold the base down on the foundation, each with a nut and washer on the base lug.

The casings, rotor, combustors, bearings, load coupling, supports, base and foundation are illustrative typical proportions, and every other bolt count and size is typical for a machine of this size, not taken from a standard. Bolting materials are typical choices. The inlet plenum and the enclosure are not drawn. Your drawings govern. We manufacture to your drawings and specifications.
The fuel gas manifold flanges and their studs are drawn to ASME B16.5 Class 300; bolting materials are named to ASTM A193, A194, A453 and F1554 as typical choices; the layout and the supports follow published descriptions of heavy-duty single-shaft gas turbines.
