Rock bolts, expansion shells, plates, threaded bar anchors, couplers, nuts, bevel washers and soil nails, made in Houston to your drawings and specifications.
A 20 ft length of mine drift, 18 ft wide, bolted on a 4 ft × 4 ft pattern: 5/8 in. mechanical bolts with expansion shells, No. 6 (3/4 in.) resin rebar bolts with dome plates, cable bolts between the rows, rib bolts, roof straps and welded wire mesh. Beside it, an anchored retaining wall: No. 8 threaded bar tiebacks through a waler, and a soil nail wall. It comes apart collar first: the nuts spin off, the plates, straps and mesh come away, and the bolts, shells and plugs draw out of their holes. At the wall the anchor nuts, bevel washers and plates come off, the bars draw out and the couplers part. The parts we make are in colour; strand, wedges and friction stabilisers are not ours and stay blueprint. Press Solid view for rock, steel and timber, or Cutaway to see each bolt full length in its hole and a tieback along its whole length.
Headed 5/8 in. bar with a 5/8-11 thread at the top end (ASTM F432). Turning the head draws the plug into the shell and clamps the plate to the roof.
The anchor at the back of the hole: a serrated shell spread against the rock by a tapered, threaded plug.
A plate goes on with every roof bolt, at least 6 in. square against the roof (30 CFR 75.204), with a 2 in. hardened washer under the head.
No. 6 (3/4 in.) threaded rebar grouted along its full length in resin.
Let the nut bear square on a bolt that is not square to the roof. Dome, shear-pin or plain hex nuts.
Plates under the barrel-and-wedge anchors of the cable bolts. The strand and wedges are not ours.
Shorter threaded rebar bolts set level into each rib, with the same plate, seat and nut.
No. 8 continuous-thread bar tiebacks at 15° through the waler, with a 10 ft unbonded length and a grouted bond length.
Threaded sleeves joining two bar lengths end to end.
The plate spans the waler channels; the bevel washer takes up the 15° between the plate and the bar.
Hex nuts and hardened washers that hold each anchor against the wall.
No. 8 threaded bars grouted along their full length at 15°, on 5 ft centres.
8 in. square, 3/4 in. bearing plates with headed studs, bevel washers, flat washers and hex nuts.

Request a quote832-446-3442A generic layout, not any mine's roof control plan or any wall's design. Bolt diameters, threads, the hardened washer and the plate rule follow ASTM F432 and 30 CFR 75.204; bar sizes follow ASTM A615; the tieback angle and unbonded length and the soil nail angle, spacing and plate size follow the FHWA manuals. Everything else is typical: bolt and nail lengths, hole sizes, the mix of bolt types in one drift, cable bolts, straps and mesh, and the counts. The drift, shells, plates, waler, piles and facing are illustrative typical proportions, and the tieback bond length is drawn short. Your drawings and your ground control plan govern. We manufacture to your drawings and specifications.
Drawn to ASTM F432 (roof and rock bolts and accessories), 30 CFR 75.204 and 75.222 (roof bolting), ASTM A615 and A722 (threaded bar), and the FHWA ground anchor (GEC 4) and soil nail (GEC 7) manuals.
