Gearbox, motor and brake bolts, bearing cap bolts, wear plate screws, rack chock hardware, hold-down studs, skid pins and slew ring bolts, made in Houston to your drawings and specifications.
A three-leg cantilever jackup of the 350 ft water depth class, standing on its trussed legs with the hull jacked clear of the water. Each leg has three chords carrying double-sided racks, and each chord runs through a jack case holding four climbing pinions: 36 in all. The view closes on one leg well and takes it apart the way a jacking-system crew does: access covers off; motors and brakes unbolted and drawn off; the gearbox mounting bolts out and each gearbox drawn out of the jack case with its pinion; the inboard bearing caps off; the guide wear plates out and their countersunk screws removed; the chock retainers off, the screw jacks backed off and the rack chocks drawn out of the rack; then the upper guides unbolted and lifted. After that the cantilever hold-down clamps and skid cylinder pins come out, the crane lifts off its slew ring, and the raw water tower, helideck and stair tower are unbolted. The bolting and pins we make are in colour. Press Solid view for a steel model. The whole rig is drawn, so pick a part from the list to see its joint close up.
A ring of bolts holds each planetary jacking gearbox to the jack case, twelve gearboxes to a leg. The joint carries each pinion's share of the hull back into the case.
One bolt circle holds the fail-safe brake to the gearbox input and a second holds the electric motor to the brake.
Close the bearing at the inboard end of each pinion shaft, on the back plate of the jack case.
Countersunk screws to the ISO 10642 head form hold the replaceable wear plates of the upper and lower leg guides, with the heads below the wearing face.
Hold the retainer plate across each rack chock in its pocket in the jack case.
Large threaded screws and lock nuts that drive each chock into the rack and hold it once the hull is at working height.
Through bolts and nuts that hold the upper guide assemblies down on the top flange of each jack case.
Hold the inspection covers on the sides of each jack case.
Stud the hold-down clamps to the structure beneath, over the bottom flange of each cantilever beam and of the drill floor skid base.
Machined pins at each end of the skidding cylinders, each with a keeper plate and two bolts.
Two bolt circles: slewing bearing to the pedestal flange, and bearing to the revolving crane. ISO 898-1 class 10.9 is typical for this bolting.
The bolted flange joint between the upper and lower pedestal sections.
Bolt the raw water tower guides to pads on the transom and the hose rack to the deck.
Bolt the helideck support frame to its stools and the stair tower to the deck and the quarters.

Request a quote832-446-3442A generic three-leg jackup of the 350 ft class, not any builder's, designer's or owner's rig, and not a class-approved design. Only these follow published sources: 36 pinions as the common system size, a 7-tooth climbing pinion, a rack contact width of about 9 in., the ISO head, nut and hole sizes shown in the notes, and the ISO 898-1 class 10.9 properties named for slew ring bolting. Everything else is illustrative typical proportions: the hull, legs, spudcans and tooth form, the jack cases, gearboxes, brakes, motors, bearing caps, guides, wear plates, chocks, screw jacks and shock pads, the cantilever, clamps, cylinders, drill floor and derrick, the crane and pedestal, the raw water tower, helideck and stair tower, and every bolt size and count. Jacking-system counts are for one leg of three. Materials and grades are named as typical only. The jacking system maker's and the owner's drawings govern. We manufacture to your drawings and specifications.
Drawn as a generic 36-pinion opposed rack-and-pinion jacking system with 7-tooth climbing pinions, as described in published papers on jackup jacking gear and in classification society rules for self-elevating units; fastener heads, nuts and holes to ISO 4014, ISO 4032, ISO 10642 and ISO 273, and slew ring bolting of ISO 898-1 class 10.9.
