Module studs, cover and liner retention, flange studs and the bolts that hold the power end together, made in Houston to your drawings and specifications.
A 1,600 hp triplex single-acting drilling mud pump with a 12-inch stroke and a 7,500 psi fluid end, taken apart the way a rig crew services it: the valve covers and cylinder heads unscrew, the valves come out, the rod clamps open and the pistons and liners are pulled. Then the strainer cross, pulsation dampener and manifolds are unbolted, the three modules come off the frame, and the power end is opened up down to the bearing caps, crankshaft and connecting rods. Everything we make is in colour. Press Solid view for a steel model, or Cutaway to see the liner, piston, valves, seats and springs inside one cylinder.
Three valve covers and three cylinder heads: threaded plugs with hammer lugs that screw into their flange rings.
Studs in the top of each module with heavy hex nuts, holding down the threaded ring the valve cover screws into.
Studs and heavy hex nuts holding the cylinder head flange metal to metal on the front of each module.
Two 3/4 in. bolts per two-piece clamp, joining each piston rod to its extension rod.
Threaded sleeves with hammer lugs that screw into the liner flange and hold each liner against its wear plate.
Studs in the pilot boss of each module carrying the wear plate and the threaded liner flange.
Retainer studs in the back of each module, nutted inside the liner chamber, pulling the module metal to metal onto the frame.
Studs in the front of each module holding the discharge manifold on over an O-ring.
Twelve 1-1/8 in. studs per flange on an 11.81 in. bolt circle (API 6A type 6BX, 5-1/8 in. 10,000 psi, BX-169 ring) at the strainer cross and the discharge line.
Eight 1-1/8 in. studs on a 10.19 in. bolt circle (API 6A type 6BX, 4-1/16 in. 10,000 psi, BX-155 ring) holding the dampener on the strainer cross.
Hex cap screws up through the suction manifold pads into the bottom of each module.
Twelve 7/8 in. studs on a 17 in. bolt circle (ASME B16.5 Class 150, NPS 12), each with two heavy hex nuts.
Cap screws on the gear case cover, the crosshead inspection cover and the rear cover.
Hold the two pinion shaft bearing carriers in the sides of the frame.
Cap screws bolting each extension (pony) rod to the front of its crosshead.
Four per guide, bolting the upper and lower crosshead guides into the frame.
Two 3 in.-8UN bolts through each main bearing cap, the largest bolts in the pump.
A ring of cap screws on the big end of each connecting rod, holding the eccentric bearing retainer.
Bolt the feet of the power frame down to the skid rails.

The rating, stroke and overall size follow published pump data; the discharge and dampener flanges and their studs follow API 6A type 6BX, the suction flange and studs follow ASME B16.5 Class 150, and the main bearing bolt thread and the rod clamp bolt size follow published maintenance manuals. The frame, modules, valves, liners, covers and skid are illustrative typical proportions, and every bolt count and size marked typical is typical. Your pump's drawings govern. We manufacture to your drawings and specifications.
Drawn to the published rating, stroke and overall size of 1,600 hp triplex mud pumps built to API Spec 7K, with the discharge and dampener flanges to API 6A type 6BX and the suction flange to ASME B16.5 Class 150.
