Strainer plate bolts, hull valve studs, swing bolts, pump and coupling bolting, flange bolt-studs and nuts, U-bolts and deck fitting bolts and pins, made in Houston to your drawings and specifications.
The seawater system of a generic surface ship, drawn inside an outline of the hull: a sea chest in the bottom, the hull valve, a duplex strainer, a vertical centrifugal pump and an 8-inch copper-nickel firemain with bronze flanged joints, a butterfly valve, a globe valve, a bulkhead penetration and an overboard discharge, with a mooring bitt and a hatch on the weather deck. It comes apart as at a dry-docking: the strainer plate off the sea chest, the hull valve unbolted, the strainer covers and baskets out, the pipe flanges parted, the valves and pump opened, and last the bulkhead flange and the deck fittings. Every nut backs off before its joint opens. The bolting we make is in colour. Press Solid view for a metal model, or Cutaway to see the sea chest, hull valve, strainer and pump in section.
Sixteen locked bolts hold the strainer plate over the sea chest opening in the hull bottom; two studs and nuts carry each zinc anode inside the chest. Typically nickel-copper K-500 or 400.
Fourteen studs on an 11-1/16 in. bolt circle, screwed into a backing ring under the sea chest's top plate, with a nut each on the valve flange.
Four swing bolts, each with its pin and nut, hold the cover on each basket chamber of the duplex strainer.
A ring of sixteen studs clamping the casing cover and motor stool to the nickel-aluminum bronze casing.
Six bolts and nuts through the flexible coupling between the motor and pump shafts.
Eight studs and nuts hold the pump's base ring to its foundation; eight bolts hold the motor on the stool.
Fourteen 5/8 in. bolt-studs with two nuts each at every 8 in. joint, on an 11-1/16 in. bolt circle in 12-3/8 in. bronze flanges (navy-pattern 150 lb drilling). Eleven joints in this run.
Four bolts holding the gear operator on the butterfly valve's neck.
Eight studs and sixteen nuts clamp the bonnet to the body on the globe valve and on the hull valve.
A U-bolt and two nuts hold the pipe at each support, with two bolts fixing each support to the structure.
Twelve bolts and nuts hold the penetration piece's collar to the watertight bulkhead on a gasket.
Twelve studs on an 8-7/8 in. bolt circle join the inboard pipe to the 6 in. flanged fitting in the side shell.
Eight studs and nuts hold the bitt's base on its seat on the deck.
Six dog bolts with their pins and nuts pull the hatch cover down on its gasket; two hinge pins carry it open.

The 8 in. and 6 in. flange diameters, thicknesses, bolt circles and hole counts follow the published navy-pattern 150 lb flange drilling (MIL-F-20042); the hull outline (drawn far smaller than a real ship) and all the equipment are illustrative typical proportions, and every other fastener count, size and material is typical. Your drawings and specifications govern. We manufacture to your drawings and specifications.
The pipe flanges are drawn to the published navy-pattern 150 lb drilling (MIL-F-20042); materials are typical, from ASTM F467 and F468 and QQ-N-286; everything else is drawn to typical proportions.
