Foundation anchor bolts, tower flange bolts, yaw, drivetrain and generator bolting, pitch bearing bolts and blade root studs, made in Houston to your drawings and specifications.
A 2 MW onshore wind turbine with an 80 m hub height, a 92 m rotor and a three-section steel tower, taken down the way a crane crew does it, the reverse of erection: the blade nuts spin off inside the hub and the blades come out, the pitch bearings and then the hub come off, the nacelle cover and the drivetrain lift off the bedplate, the nacelle comes off the yaw bearing, then the tower sections part at their flanges from the top down and the bottom section lifts off the anchor bolts. The tower and blades are drawn about a quarter of their true length so the joints can be seen; every flange, bearing and fastener is drawn full size. The bolting we make is in colour. Press Solid view for a painted steel model, or Cutaway to see the flange bolts inside the tower and the anchor cage in the foundation.
160 M42 anchor bolts in two rings of 80, cast into the foundation as a cage on an embedded steel ring. A washer and nut on each one clamp the tower's base flange onto the grout bed.
124 M42 × 245 HV sets, class 10.9, through the inward L-flanges (3,917 mm O.D.) where the bottom tower section meets the middle one. Bolt up from below, nut and hardened washer on top.
116 M36 × 205 HV sets, class 10.9, through the L-flanges (3,448 mm O.D.) between the middle and top sections.
One ring bolts the yaw bearing's geared outer ring down through the tower's top flange; the other bolts its inner ring up into the nacelle bedplate. Typically about 80 M30 bolts in each ring.
Hold the geared yaw drives to the bedplate, twelve bolts round each drive flange.
A few large bolts hold the main bearing housing down on the bedplate against the rotor's weight and thrust.
Clamp the gearbox's hollow input shaft onto the main shaft so the joint carries the rotor torque by friction.
Bolt the gearbox's torque arm supports to the bedplate, one support each side.
Hold the generator's feet on their elastic mounts on the rear frame.
A ring of large studs, a nut each side, joining the cast hub to the main shaft flange. Typically 48 M36.
Bolt each pitch bearing's outer ring to its flange on the hub. Typically about 60 M30 bolts per bearing.
54 M30 × 401 double-ended studs per blade, class 10.9, screwed into barrel nuts across the blade root, through the pitch bearing's inner ring, with a washer and nut inside the hub.

Request a quote832-446-3442A generic 2 MW-class turbine, not any maker's design. The tower diameters, flange diameters, flange bolt sizes and counts, the anchor bolt size and count and the blade stud size and count follow published figures for this class of machine, and the bolt sets follow EN 14399-4 and DASt 021. The tower height and blade length are drawn about a quarter of true size. The foundation, nacelle, drivetrain, hub and bearing shapes are illustrative, and the yaw, drivetrain, hub flange and pitch bearing bolt sizes and counts are typical. Your drawings govern. We manufacture to your drawings and specifications.
Drawn to a published 2 MW tower design (three flanged sections, 124 M42 and 116 M36 flange bolts, 160 M42 anchor bolts), EN 14399-4 and DASt Guideline 021 (HV bolt sets), ISO 898-1 (property classes) and IEC 61400-6 (tower and foundation design).
