Privacy Policy
What we collect when you use this website or contact us, why, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
This website is run by Innovation Group DBA Innovation Fasteners LLC (“Innovation Fasteners”, “we”), 18401 Intercontinental Crossing Dr, Houston, TX 77073. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through innovationfasteners.com and when you contact us.
2. Information you give us
The quote, contact and purchase order forms on this site do not store what you type. When you submit one, the site opens a pre-filled email in your own email program, addressed to info@innovationfasteners.com. We receive the information only if you send that email. It typically includes your name, company, email address, phone number, purchase order reference, the parts you need and any drawings you attach.
We also receive the information you share when you email or call us, use live chat, or log in to our customer certificate portal.
3. Information collected automatically
On innovationfasteners.com we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. It records the pages you visit, how you arrived (for example from a search engine), your device and browser type, your approximate location at city level, and actions such as tapping our phone number, downloading the brochure or starting a quote request. We do not send your name, email address or phone number to Google Analytics. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
We also use Apollo.io’s website visitor tool. It uses the IP address of each visit to identify the company or organization whose network the visit comes from (for example, a business office) and records the pages viewed, so we can understand which businesses are interested in our products. It identifies organizations, not individual people.
Our website host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
4. Live chat
When live chat is available on the site, it is provided by LiveChat (livechat.com). If you use it, LiveChat processes the messages you send, the name, email address, company and phone number you give in the form before the chat starts, and technical information about your browser, so our team can answer you. Chat transcripts are kept in our LiveChat account.
5. How we use information
- To respond to enquiries, prepare quotations and process orders.
- To issue material certifications and keep quality and traceability records required by our ISO 9001:2015 quality system.
- To keep you informed about work you have asked us to do.
- To understand, in aggregate, which pages and products are useful, and to improve the site.
- To keep the site secure and to meet our legal obligations.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, and only for that purpose:
- Render (website hosting)
- Google (Google Analytics)
- Apollo.io (identifying the businesses that visit our website)
- Resend (delivering emails sent from our website forms)
- LiveChat (live chat, when enabled)
- Microsoft (business email through Microsoft 365)
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or to a buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganized.
7. Cookies and browser storage
Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga) to recognize returning visitors. LiveChat sets cookies to keep a chat session open while you browse. The site stores your cart and certificate portal session in your browser’s local storage. That data stays on your device and is not sent to us until you submit an order.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The site still works without cookies, but your cart will not be remembered.
8. How long we keep it
We keep quotation, order and certification records for as long as our quality system, customer requirements and the law require, which for traceability records is typically at least ten years. We keep general enquiries for as long as needed to respond and follow up. Google Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Analytics account.
9. Security
The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, and access to our email and business systems is limited to staff who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold.
10. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it where we are not required to keep it, by emailing info@innovationfasteners.com. You can also ask us to stop sending you non-essential communications at any time. Residents of Texas and other states with privacy laws may have additional rights under those laws. We will not treat you differently for exercising them. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our response, and we will review the decision.
11. Children
This website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
12. Visitors outside the United States
We are based in the United States, and information you send us is processed and stored in the United States.
13. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our practices change and will show the new effective date at the top of the page.
