Set Screws
Socket set screws in every point style — cup, cone, flat, dog — machined or cold formed.
Buyer’s guide
Choosing set screws.
A socket set screw has no head: it threads fully into a part and holds a collar, pulley or gear on a shaft with its point. The point style decides the grip — cup points bite into the shaft, flat points protect it, cone points locate in a drilled spot and dog points engage a slot. Alloy set screws are made to ASTM F912 and ASME B18.3.
We supply machined and cold-formed set screws in alloy and stainless steel, and make custom points, lengths and materials to drawing.
