Precision-machined 1-1/2"-6 UNC-3A x 2" socket set screw with a cup point, manufactured from 304 stainless steel for strength and corrosion resistance.
Special socket products are machined from bar where the specification allows, with the socket broached and the threads rolled, or cut where the specification or order allows, then heat treated and plated as the specification requires. Shoulder, low-head, flat-head and set-screw patterns follow ASME B18.3 unless the drawing says otherwise.
About the material: The general-purpose 18-8 stainless: 75 ksi annealed bar, cold-worked bolts to 160 ksi, non-magnetic, and resistant to water, food and most mild chemicals. Read the 304 Stainless data page →
