1/4"-20 UNC-3A x 5/8" socket head cap screw in ASTM A193 Grade B8M Class 2, suited to bolting for flanges, valves and pressure vessels.
Special socket products are machined from bar where the specification allows, with the socket broached and the threads rolled, or cut where the specification or order allows, then heat treated and plated as the specification requires. Shoulder, low-head, flat-head and set-screw patterns follow ASME B18.3 unless the drawing says otherwise.
About the material: 316 stainless bolting cold worked after solution treatment — 110 ksi tensile in ¾ in. and under, with B8M2 and B8M3 classes for diameters to 3 in. and beyond. Read the A193 B8M Class 2 data page →
