Low head socket cap screws with 3A UNC threads, machined from bar with a broached socket in 17-4 PH Condition H1150D to ASTM A574.
Special socket products are machined from bar where the specification allows, with the socket broached and the threads rolled, or cut where the specification or order allows, then heat treated and plated as the specification requires. Shoulder, low-head, flat-head and set-screw patterns follow ASME B18.3 unless the drawing says otherwise.
About the material: The high-strength stainless — up to 190 ksi in H900, or 115 to 135 ksi with real toughness in the H1150 conditions — for pump shafts, valve stems, subsea and aerospace fasteners. Read the 17-4 PH data page →
