2-1/2" ID × 5-3/4" OD special lock nut for a returning customer, machined from Alloy 255 super duplex per ASTM A479 for corrosion resistance and strength.
Nuts are machined from bar or hex stock, tapped to the thread class specified, and heat treated where the grade requires it. Heavy hex, jam, castellated, cap, seal and coupling patterns are turned in-house, so special dimensions cost no more than standard ones.
About the material: 25 Cr super duplex with a PREN above 40 — 116 ksi tensile and 80 ksi yield for the most aggressive seawater, sour and chloride bolting. Read the Super Duplex 2507 data page →
