2.548"-18 Special Bearing Lock Nut Built to Customer Specifications Material: ASTM A479 Alloy 255 This custom lock nut highlights our precision machining expertise, delivering a secure lock, accurate fit, and reliable performance for the customer's application.
Nuts are machined from bar or hex stock, tapped to the thread class specified, and heat treated where the grade requires it. Heavy hex, jam, castellated, cap, seal and coupling patterns are turned in-house, so special dimensions cost no more than standard ones.
About the material: 25 Cr super duplex with a PREN above 40 — 116 ksi tensile and 80 ksi yield for the most aggressive seawater, sour and chloride bolting. Read the Super Duplex 2507 data page →
