4"-8 UN round nuts in ASME SA-194 Grade 2H, made with 4-1/4" SA-193 B7 studs for a heat exchanger turnaround.
Nuts are machined from bar or hex stock, tapped to the thread class specified, and heat treated where the grade requires it. Heavy hex, jam, castellated, cap, seal and coupling patterns are turned in-house, so special dimensions cost no more than standard ones.
About the material: The standard heavy hex nut for A193 B7 studs — quenched and tempered carbon steel, 175 ksi proof load, 24 to 35 HRC. Read the A194 2H data page →
