Hot rush: 128 heavy hex nuts machined from ASTM A194 Grade 8C round bar and shipped within three working days of the order for a refinery that was down. The shop ran 24-hour shifts to make the date.
Nuts are machined from bar or hex stock, tapped to the thread class specified, and heat treated where the grade requires it. Heavy hex, jam, castellated, cap, seal and coupling patterns are turned in-house, so special dimensions cost no more than standard ones.
